During his vetting before Parliament’s Appointments Committee, George emphasized that under his leadership, Ghana would leverage AI, machine learning, and data-driven innovation to accelerate economic growth and technological advancement.

He reaffirmed that President John Dramani Mahama has a strategic vision for AI, which his ministry will actualize through key reforms and targeted investments in digital technology.

"President Mahama has a clear vision for AI. We will take the existing AI strategy developed by the previous government, refine it, and ensure its practical implementation through engagement with industry stakeholders," he said.

George highlighted plans to integrate AI into Ghana’s expanding digital infrastructure, with a strong focus on innovation hubs and big data analytics.

“As outlined in our manifesto, we will establish innovation hubs across the country and integrate AI on top of the vast amounts of data we are collecting. This will position Ghana as a leading center for artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, data analytics, and data processing in Africa over the next four years,” he asserted.

His declaration signals a major push toward technological transformation, with Ghana aiming to become a key player in the AI revolution on the continent.
