Acknowledging the hurdles faced throughout the year—including economic challenges, governance issues, and democratic processes—Mr. Bagbin urged citizens to view these obstacles as valuable lessons for growth. He encouraged Ghanaians to celebrate the year’s blessings while committing to build a better future.

"We have faced challenges with governance, the economy, institutions, and democracy. But these experiences are lessons meant to strengthen us. Most importantly, we are reassured of God’s love, grace, and blessings,” Mr. Bagbin remarked.

Reflecting on the unexpected yet peaceful outcome of the 2024 elections, the Speaker expressed profound gratitude for divine intervention, noting that many had anticipated a more contentious process.

“I am grateful to God for His intervention in what was a very difficult election period. None of us expected this outcome, but as God willed it, peace has prevailed,” he said.

Mr. Bagbin appealed to all Ghanaians to accept the election results with humility, recognizing them as a reflection of divine will. He urged introspection and emphasized the need to overcome divisions for the sake of national progress.

“My appeal is for every Ghanaian to accept the results with humility, recognizing God’s plan. Let’s reflect deeply on what went wrong and what went right, and most importantly, let us unite. A divided nation breeds hatred, but unity fosters strength and progress,” he advised.

The Speaker celebrated Ghana’s 32 years of multiparty democracy, highlighting its reputation as a model of stability and hope for the African continent. Despite its challenges, Ghana continues to inspire nations across Africa and beyond.

“Ghana remains the Mecca of the Black race. Though we may falter at times, the world still looks up to us. Being recognized by other nations should lift our spirits and encourage us to keep moving forward,” he stated.

Addressing the youth, Mr. Bagbin shared an optimistic vision for the future. He encouraged young people to remain hopeful and committed to Ghana’s progress, emphasizing that the country is on the right path.

“The future is bright. Ghana continues to stand as a beacon of hope and democracy for Africa. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to building a better nation,” he said.

Concluding his message, Mr. Bagbin extended warm wishes for the Christmas season. He expressed gratitude to the clergy, traditional leaders, and the media for their contributions to national development.

“Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. May the good Lord bless us all and keep our nation united and strong,” he concluded.

The Speaker’s heartfelt message resonates as a powerful reminder of Ghana’s resilience, the importance of unity, and the enduring hope for a brighter future.
